SOASTA CloudTest presents test results within the Composition Editor > Play and > Results tabs.

• The Play tab displays current results for the last or actively playing composition.
• The Results tab shows all completed results.

To get started viewing results for a new test composition, click Play from the Edit or Play tabs. Once the test begins to play, switch to the Play tab for runtime results.

SOASTA CloudTest also posts the status of a playing or recently played Test Composition on the Central > Player Status page(s) as they happen, as well as posting and archiving per-play results on the Central > Recently Played page.
In the Central list > click Recently Played. When you do so, the Recently Played list appears. From here you can select any result to open.

Select a result item in the list by clicking its arrow. Each time the test composition is played a new results item is created in the Result list.

You can also view other play status information in the Central list > Activity section at Test Composition runtime, including summary statistics, server status, location status, and the status of the Results Service itself.

Analytics Dashboard

SOASTA CloudTest provides rich visual tools to analyze results at the Test Composition level, as well as at the message level. Analytic Dashboards are fully customizable using a widget system.

If you haven't associated a dashboard with a given test composition the Result Details dashboard is presented whenever the Play or Results tabs are selected in the Composition Editor. Additoinal dashboards can be added from within the Composition Editor > Play or > Results tabs, or opened per test result from within the Central list > Activity section.

You can choose the Default Functional Dashboard or create one or more custom dashboards using out-of-the-box widgets and charts to show overall statistics about your Test Composition.

• To zoom on a region click-and-drag a rectangle. Double-click to unzoom the view

Aggregates

The Aggregates chart displays information such as Duration or Bytes Sent in a grid form. This chart renders the Component Hierarchy for your Test Composition. This is done according to the SOASTA CloudTest Object Model (e.g.. Test Composition > Band 1> Track 1 > Test Clip > Messages). Refer to the SOASTA CloudTest Script Guide for more information about this object model.

Result Details

The Result Details chart (included in the Default Functional Dashboard) uses a Component Flow to display the Test Composition’s message stream. The Result Details can then be filtered to display Message Components Only or Error Components Only.
