Working with Amazon EC2
Locations define cloud environments in which cloud-based tests occur in combination with server instances and SOASTA CloudTest services such as Test Server, and Results Service. A location is typically characterized by the requirements of Amazon EC2, Amazon EU, and can also be simulated.
The Grids Manager allows you to setup and view your cloud-computing resources, including Test Server and Results Server instances from multiple locations that are used to generate load.

You can create one or more Grids for use in tests that deploy cloud resources and match those with SOASTA CloudTest Test Server instances.
Setting Up Multiple Physical Locations
All of the components of the SOASTA CloudTest architecture are services-based and can be installed on different physical servers to maximize scale and performance. While most SOASTA CloudTest installations use the same server for all SOASTA Web services—it is possible to have the SOASTA CloudTest user interface, the SOASTA Coordinator (the server side of SOASTA Conductor), and the SOASTA CloudTest Repository on different servers.
